Saints will be supported from afar next weekend – Kev Pyper will be cheering them on from his duty posting in Afghanistan! One question – could either of those vehicles stop Samu Manoa in his tracks…?

Everyone at Franklin’s Gardens was saddened this week to hear of the passing of Paul Witty, one of the biggest characters in the relatively recent history of the club. A physio at Franklin’s Gardens for two decades until the mid-1990s, Paul was also a partner in one of Northampton’s most well-known and well-regarded physiotherapy practices, and although he retired in 1999 Witty, Pask and Buckingham still bears his name. Paul’s wife, Jean, established the Saints Shop in the mid-1980s, and she too passed away recently. We’re sure you will join us in extending the most heartfelt of condolences to Paul and Jean’s family and friends.

Fly half Stephen Myler says that despite breaking a sequence of semi-final defeats last weekend, the Saints won’t settle for reaching a first Aviva Premiership final a week on Saturday. “As it stands, we haven’t won anything yet and next Saturday provides us with a huge opportunity to pick up that trophy,” he told SaintsTV. “It’s something we’re all excited about.”

We’ve also secured some additional parking in Twickenham for coaches, so coach tickets are back on sale, too!
TICKET UPDATE (4pm; Thurs, May 16th) – A couple of hundred tickets are still left for face-to-face sales at the ticket office, which is open until 7pm this evening
TICKET UPDATE (11am; Thurs, May 16th) – 400 tickets will be going on general sale at the Saints Ticket Office at 12noon. They are on sale to personal callers ONLY, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
And here’s another TICKET UPDATE for you. Season Ticket Holders have been buying all afternoon, and at this stage it is unknown whether there will be enough tickets remaining to warrant going on general sale.

Non-Season Ticket Holders are therefore recommended to either find a Season Ticket Holder to order on their behalf, or order through TicketMaster, or use a re-selling service such as StubHub that guarantees that tickets are genuine.

Ref coach tickets – 44 coach-loads of tickets have already been sold, which has filled up all of our available space at Twickenham, greatly exceeding expectations! So coach tickets have been taken off sale, pending the club finding additional spaces for coaches to park.

TICKET UPDATE (2pm, Weds, May 15th) – Season Ticket Holders are reminded that their priority booking period for Aviva Premiership Final tickets closes at 5pm today. There are just a few hundred tickets remaining, which can be bought both in person at the Saints Ticket Office and via online accounts.

To log in, visit http://www.tickethour.co.uk/saints-ww/showProductList.html and then use your customer/Season Card number as the log in and your postcode (without spaces and in capitals) as the password.

Coach tickets remain on sale both in person and via online ticketing accounts, priced at £20 per person.

All internet orders from Monday and Tuesday have now been processed and will be posted first class today (Wednesday). Delivery is then subject to the Royal Mail, so please leave it a few days before contacting the Saints Ticket Office!

Supporters who opted to collect their tickets can do so from 12noon on Thursday.

There are a few places remaining in the club’s hospitality package, which includes the best seats in the house, a pre-match three-course lunch, and post-match hospitality with the Saints playing squad. To book email ShobhaAranha@northamptonsaints.co.uk

The club will make a further announcement regarding availability for general sale on Wednesday afternoon.

Some sad news from London Irish, who’ve announced this morning that former Saints centre Joe Ansbro has been forced to retire, aged just 27. He sustained a nasty injury last summer, and despite extensive rehabilitation he’s been advised by the medics not to play again. All the best for the future, Joe!
